Now with the snow finally melting, I can go hiking on the mountain, and all the big animals are finally up calling Snowbird their home once again. We had our 3rd longest ski season with a total of 611 inches of snow falling from October-June. We also had measurable amounts of snow at least once a week from December-June. It also snowed my first day of work (Sept 26th) and finally stopped on June 11th....that made for a long winter.
- White Pine Connection: This trail takes you from Snowbird down to my favorite trailhead for White/Red Pine lakes. Only takes 50 min round trip so it makes for a quick and easy hike before work.
Work time! I hike our Barrier Free trail everyday as well as drive around exploring for animals and waterfalls on the resort or up in Alta.

Superior during sunset
Superior is the left chute and Hellsgate is the right chute.
I took the tram up on Thursday (June 26th) to see how much snow we had so I could figure out when i can start hiking into Mineral Basin and the neighboring peaks. I still have a month....

And finally, what were known for in the summer. Our Moose family. We have a mother bring up her baby every year and they live on our mtn and come to our pond every night at dusk for dinner. This is last years baby. She was only 15 yards away from me
Word spreads quick around the resort when a moose is out and they flock to take pictures.
Just consider me the Mooses body guard
