MARMOTS AND POTGUTS (UINTA GROUND SQUIRREL)

This is our Chickadee run in the winter, but in the summer
you can see the zip line wires above on the left and the Alpine Slide to
the right with the lift bringing people up to use them.
Summer may have finally arrived at Snowbird.
Marmots
We have about 10-15 of them outside the Cliff Lodge and on Chickadee path.
Guests often ask me what they are because they've never seen the cute little creatures.
They are similar to prairie dogs or big groundhogs.

As you can see, they aren't very afraid of humans

POTGUTS
small squirrels that chirps. We have 1,000's and 1,000's of these around the resort
