LAKE BLANCHE, FLORENCE AND LILLIAN

This hike is in Big Cottonwood Canyon and the trailhead starts at 6,320 ft and I gained 2,580 ft in 2.8 miles. Lake Blanche sits at 8,900 ft and it took exactly 2 hrs to reach. There are also 2 sister lakes within 200 yards of Lake Blanche. Also The Sundial Peak is located right behind Lake Blanche, its an amazing peak.
A piece of prehistoric history also resides in this area as you come across rock slabs that rubbed against glaciers when this entire area was a huge glacier.

These rocks are scratched from the glaciers sliding across the rocks,
creating these huge slabs of shiny, scratched up rock
