DAY 3: ARCHES NATIONAL PARK

I woke up at 7:00 to temperatures in the upper teens.
The sunrise was well worth it however. My goal today was to
hike everything left on my list, then relax at the campground the
rest of the evening.
Sunrise at Devils Garden Campground site #18
sun shining on the rocks
looking across from my campground
A crow flying over the sunrise
Hiking time. This was my longest hike by far, but I saw
5 arches (6 if you throw in the now collapsed Wall Arch),
and was by myself after Pine Tree Arch, even at Landscape.

Here is the sign for Landscape Arch, click on the picture and read for yourself about it!
Pictures do no justice to how large this arch is. Just think, its as long as a football field

there it is!
Landscape Arch under an awesome blue sky
the rubble from the collapse in 1991. Those boulders are taller than me
see how thin the right side of the arch is?

Heading out of Devils Garden. Here I passed by an older couple and they asked if the Starbucks was open.
I told them I just had my double shot and to head over. They then asked how the parking was,
I responded "not sure becuase I did the drive-thru"

Double Arch, this used to be a pot hole. It eventually got so worn down,
and filled with so much water the top collapsed making the 2nd arch

I had neighbor campers and the wife wanted to go on
a hike that started in our campground. Her name was Lori and
they were from Colorado. She was thankful I went on this
hike with her and she even brought me hot cocoa at sunrise
the next morning. Very nice.

Anyways, so here I am at Tapestry Arch, didnt know it was
here until I did this hike with Lori
